The Seventh Amendment,
In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
The Seventh Amendment of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, codifies the right to jury trial in certain civil trials. The Supreme Court has not extended the amendment to the states under the Fourteenth Amendment, as it has for many other components of the Bill of Rights.
