Today's Scripture
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9).

Higher Ways

Sometimes it’s easy to get focused on what’s happening in the world around us. We see things on the news or hear something about the economy, and we dwell on those thoughts. Before long, those thoughts start to drag us down. But when we choose to think higher thoughts, the way God thinks, and when we choose to meditate on God’s Word, His higher thoughts will draw us to a higher level of living.
You can live above the stress and pressure of the world because He has promised to give us perfect peace when we keep our minds focused on Him. You can live above financial worries because God has promised that when we follow His Word, He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. You can live above fear and dread because God has promised that His perfect love will drive out all fear. Choose God’s higher thoughts today and allow His ways to become Your ways. Open your heart and allow Him to direct your every step. As you do, you will rise higher and higher, and you’ll live the life of victory He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I humbly come to You giving You all that I am. Fill me with Your higher thoughts which will lead me in Your higher ways. Help me to look beyond my circumstances to the good things You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

One Voice Matters
People who live near jungles or in tropical regions have witnessed the phenomenon of ants on the march—a long convoy of hundreds of thousands of ants snaking across the terrain. Compare that sight to a solitary ant crawling across the jungle floor or trying to defend its colony alone. It's easy to be discouraged about the prospects of one person making a difference.
But what is a colony, a family, a church, or a nation except a collection of individuals? There is no "national will" except when a group of like-minded individuals make their voices heard. And every Christian has the responsibility to make his or her godly voice be heard when it comes to the affairs of state. Even when it seems a single voice is drowned out by the din of the masses, there is another way an individual can impact the ship of state: prayer. Christians are commanded to pray for "all who are in authority" (1 Timothy 2:2) and told that the "effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16).

Pray as if it is all up to God, work as if it's all up to you.

Tuning in to the Voice of Victory

There are all kinds of voices and thoughts we can tune in to each day. Just like a radio station, there are hundreds of different frequencies that are available. There is the negative frequency that says, "You'll never accomplish your dreams", "You'll never get well", "You'll never get married." Then, there is the "Voice of Victory" frequency.
The "Voice of Victory" is found in God's Word. It says, "You are blessed." "You are prosperous", "You can do all things", "Your best days are still ahead". Despite the many voices you hear today, the key is to keep the negative voices from getting deposited into your spirit. The scripture says in Philippians 4:8 to "Think on things that are pure, things that are wholesome, things that are of a good report." When you latch on to the "Voice of Victory" and let these faith-filled thoughts take deep root in your heart, your faith will produce a positive harvest, and you will live that victorious life!

LOVE

Someone loves you!
Could you take the person whom you love the most and sacrifice that person to save the life of someone who ignored you and treated you like an enemy? This is what God did when He sent His Son to die in your and my place. Is there any greater proof of His great love and concern for you?

If you have wandered away from the Father's house. Just remember, He is waiting and watching to welcome you home. If you want love, understanding and forgiveness, you can find it by returning to Him!

Walking with the Lord

PLEASE PRAY:

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross for me. Jesus, I love You. Come into my heart and I will live for You forever. Holy Spirit, fill me to overflowing with Your love and power. Amen

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, the Holy Spirit now lives in you and you are "born again." Find a good church, where the Bible is taught as true. Read the Bible (begin with the four gospels and the letters of Paul) every day. Pray (talk to the Father) in Jesus' name, and He will answer you in your heart. He will heal you, bless your finances, and make you every bit whole.
