This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report

'On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," I'll tell you about the latest controversy over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Israelis want to build a new bridge from the Western Wall plaza up to the Temple Mount platform. It will replace the old one that was damaged in an earthquake two years ago. The Palestinian Authority opposes the project. Why? Well, obviously, it's because the Temple Mount is not Jewish. Apparently, it never has been; is not now; nor ever will be. According to the Palestinians, the whole concept of a Jewish Temple on that site - historic or otherwise - is a myth.
Therefore, the Israelis have no right to do anything on the Temple Mount. End of discussion. Well, maybe for them, but not for me!

I'll also examine a recent report to Congress detailing the various nations and groups admired and courted by the Palestinian Authority. This report gives us a clue about the ideological 'allies' we can expect for the new Palestinian state. Here's a hint: all of them can be considered 'enemies' of the United States.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Mr. President, wake up and smell the coffee!

The presumptive presidential nominee for the Democrat party resigned his church membership this week. Is it too little, too late? If he were not in the national spotlight, would he have felt compelled to do so? Apparently, during the last 20 years, he never recognized the dramatic racism present in the church's leadership. Or maybe he didn't care. Perhaps he slept during the sermons. Maybe he's the one who needs to wake up and smell the coffee!

We know from prophecy that someday Russia, leading an Islamic confederacy, will attack Israel. But did you know that attack will not be motivated by religion or ideology? It will be a war for profit. Ezekiel says that Gog will turn its attention toward Israel "to capture spoil and seize plunder." Currently, Israel possesses nothing valuable enough to inspire such aggression from the 'extreme north.'
However, I think the Bible indicates that that situation may soon change. It says that the people of Israel will acquire "cattle and goods" and "live at the center of the world." What could bring such wealth and attention so quickly?
How about a massive oil discovery? Maybe one that dwarfs the reserves of Israel's Muslim neighbors? That would certainly loosen Islam's grip on the West. Israel would quickly become the jewel of the Middle East. Oil-starved Western nations would be happy to guarantee Israel's security in exchange for her oil bounty. That time may be closer than you think. I'll tell you about some folks who are working hard to make that happen.

Finally, I'll share a 'Watchman on the Wall Warning' with you. Jesus Christ said that in the last days there would be deception within the church. I have some thoughts about the form that deception may take. I'll tell you how to avoid falling prey to those predicted deceivers.
